Joint Personnel Clear Nail Mines on Jalan DI Panjaitan

Joint personnel of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency and Mobile Brigade Corps of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police cleared nail mines along Jalan DI Panjaitan, Jatinegara District. Personnel managed to find 20 large nails during the activity.

The raid was conducted using a crane equipped with special equipment to remove nail mines and similar metal objects from the road.

Nail Mines in East Jakarta Being Handled

Personnel searched the route from the East Jakarta Samsat Office to the Halim Perdanakusuma Traffic Light.

Head Section of Operation for East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Riki Erwinda said this nail mine clearing aims to ensure the safety and comfort of road users.

"The spread of these nail mines can not only harm road users, but can also threaten safety due to flat vehicle tires," he said, Monday (10/20).

He asked the nail mine spreaders not to repeat their actions for personal gain but at the expense of others.

"For people who know or see someone spreading nail mines, please report it immediately to the nearest officer so they can be arrested and given a deterrent effect," he stated.

Meanwhile, one of road users, Bima Putra (29), appreciated the nail mines cleaning on Jalan DI Panjaitan.

"I cross this road every day. We express our gratitude and appreciation to the joint team who have cleared the nail mines. We hope this can continue for the safety and security of road users," he said.
